Emmett Graves is the protagonist of Lightbox Interactive’s newest epic: Starhawk™. In addition to the rewarding multiplayer, the Playstion 3 game features a rich single-player campaign. The story details the exploits of Emmett as he fights to keep order on the western-style space colony called “The Frontier”.

Powerhouse Animation had a great time working on this project with the fine folks at Lightbox. Laced throughout the single player gameplay are cinematic motion comics that serve to convey the narrative highlights. These motion comics were made by none other than your favorite Austin animation factory using a combination of Flash animation techniques as well as motion comic-style After Effects work. Powerhouse Animation also created storyboards for the in-game cinematics as well as the promotional game trailer.
